MS Publisher
Including a proof with your job is very important with artwork created in Publisher as things can quite often move around and text formatting change.

Publisher has a function called ‘Pack and Go’ (Under the ‘FILE’ command) which is ideal for collecting together all the relevant items needed for a commercial printing service to print the document.

Follow the instructions in the on-screen wizard. HINT: Create a folder on your Desktop called ‘Telford Repro’ and use this as the location for saving your files. You can then
e-mail them to us or put them on a disk or CD.

In the ‘Include Fonts and Graphics’ screen ALL items need a tick next to them. This ensures that all the fonts used are embedded in the document and that any pictures used are included in a way that will help prevent problems at our end.

MS Word/MS PowerPoint/MS Excel
It is very important to include a proof with your job as text formatting, margins etc. can change when a document is opened up on another computer. Changes can occur due
to documents being created in previous versions also.

Please ensure when creating your document that the ‘page setup’ paper size is correct. By default, MS Word may create a new document witha letter paper size which is an american standard. If a document is created using this paper size then it can be difficult to re-scale it to A4 afterwards.

All of these programs give no indication when opened that any fonts are missing, automatically substituting any ones that are found. Although we have the majority of commonly used fonts on our system please include any unusual ones with the document.

Quite often company logos are in the form of fonts and these will be unique to that organisation. These fonts must be supplied in order to print the document correctly.
